This Sev Statik and Vinylcologist EP ‘Sinderblock’ is coming out real fresh. Doing some mixing right now and wrapping up a collaboration with Dephyant and Gorilla Tao from Iron Bar Collective. I teamed up with Michael Manasseh once again for the artwork. Peep the cover below. Homie sees the vision everytime.

We’ll be shooting a couple videos for ‘Sinderblock’ Jan 2012. If you’re interested in doing some pro-bono video production please get at me. International heads encouraged to apply.
This past year I’ve released 2 EPs working with DJ Tone on School Shooting and more recently Raw Threat on Sondial. Before I get to the new EP news I gotta tell ya I’m working towards my next full length record exclusively produced by PJ Katz. I’ve been on numerous tracks produced by Katz, and you might remember him from the song on the Tunnel Rats CD called Disposable. As I build songs and Katz works on these beats I’m hard at work on this new EP featuring production by my 518 bredren The Vinylcologist . Check his twitter at @unitedcrates. Right now we’re 7 beats into it with 5 songs in the notepad. Got these last 2 beats to write to and then I’m hittin’ the boof! This will be a free download at my bandcamp page and other fine digital outlets. Not sure of the release date, but most definitely in the next couple months.
We’re looking to do a couple of videos for this Sev Statik and Vinylcologist project so keep an eye out and spread the word, friends.

My friend Michael Manasseh is a pretty dope graphic designer. He’s done work for my School Shooting EP, the Sondial EP and the Theory Hazit remix album for Back to Dust, but when he’s not recreating the world with his fingers he’s doing some mighty dope rap music. He asked me to be on a song called Dedication and I obliged. Check the cover-link below to download the entire album for FREE.

I’ve been rockin’ live shows over cds, vinyl and even cassette tapes for quite a long time. The DJ is the emcee’s preferred method of rockin’ live on stage and the more recent addition to the emcee’s arsenal is the USB thumb drive. Upload my music files onto this mini hard drive no bigger than a lighter and dump it all onto my man’s laptop and hellooo Serato! Good stuff!
Rockin’ with a live band isn’t that new to me. I’ve always been involved with musicians in one way or another. From doing songs with hardcore bands, freestyling with Beatdown Collective or on some impromptu junk live at Savannah’s in Albany. Live music is 2nd nature to me.
More recently, I’ve been working with a few guys who are super gung-ho about rockin’ with me as a group. We linked up at the beginning of the year and now after about 9 months or so of practice we’re excited to be on some bills. We have a full set of 8 songs and we’ve already rocked 2 gigs here in the 518 and we slay…harrrrd! We have a couple more shows in the deuce oh wun wun and definitely look forward to more sets in the year the world is supposed to end (2012 for you Myan calendar challenged people).
Check us out, yall!
